Our music mixing service is where raw recordings become living, breathing experiences. Every track you bring to us is treated like a story waiting to be told in full color. What's included?

Files upload

Upload your files to [email protected] using a file sharing platform (wetransfer/google drive/etc...) of your choice.

15 min intake survey

Complete the survey that we will send to you so we can understand your artistic vision, and know exactly what you want.

Alternative mix versions

As a standard you will receive: a capella / instrumental / backing track for live. If you need a different alternative version you can ask for it while completing the mixing intake survey, it's included.

Printing of mixed STEMS

We will print: kick / snare / drums / bass / 808 / guitars / keys / orchestra / fx / lead vocals / backing vocals.

Mastering

Mastering is always included with our mixing service. You will also receive the unmastered mix in case you prefer to work with a mastering engineer of your choice.

Unlimited revisions

It's about mutual trust. You trust us with your music, and we trust you to value our time and service. We just want our clients to be 100% happy with the final product without any extra hidden costs.

6 Months backup of your files

As a standard we keep your files backed-up for 6 months.

Archiving has to be purchased separately and is available here.

Vocal Production

Select this option if you want us to correct the tuning and timing of your vocals, perform cleanup editing, and ad harmonies where needed/wanted.

Rush Service

When you select this option we will deliver the first pass of your main mix within 2 to 3 working days.

Clean Edit

Select this option if you want us to deliver a version of you main mix with offensive words removed.

How does it work?

STEP 1: Click a "GET STARTED" button.

STEP 2: Complete the form that will pop up, and ensure all your required options are selected before proceeding.

STEP 3: Submit your quote request.

STEP 4: Validate your email!

STEP 5: Add [email protected] & [email protected] to your address book so you don't miss any future communication from us!

STEP 6: Execute a payment for the full quote amount you received.

STEP 7: Complete the intake survey that we will send to you.

STEP 8: Prepare your files as described in the FAQ section "How do I prepare my files before uploading to TweakR Studios?".

No need to memorise it now... You will receive an email with all info needed once you placed your order.

STEP 9: Upload your files to [email protected] through a file sharing service of your choice like: wetransfer, google drive, dropbox, etc...

Don't forget to include your receipt number for easy reference!

STEP 10: We will assess your files for approval... (usually within 1 day)

STEP 11: Once we received your payment and approved your files, we 'll start working on your order. You will receive the main mix or master of your song within the timeframe you selected during checkout.

STEP 12: Start of the revision process... If any revisions or edits are needed, you can discuss them with the engineer.

STEP 13: Once you are 100% happy with the main mix, and signed off on it, you will receive all deliverables via email.

STEP 14: We will keep your files on backup for 6 months. During that period you can receive an extra copy of your files for a minor fee of €10 when needed.

If you prefer to discuss your project face to face, you book a timeslot and we will contact you correspondingly!

How do I prepare my files before uploading to TweakR Studios?

We prefer to work with .wav or .aiff files at a quality of 24bit - 44.1 Khz or higher. In the case high res. files aren't available it will depend on the quality of the files and the clients expectations before we decide to take on the job.

Give all tracks a proper name (ex. Kick, Snare, lead synth, pad, etc... Names like audio1.1.12, screaming enforcer, etc... will NOT be accepted!).

Remove all plugins and FX you used to make your reference mix. Leave all plugins and FX that's crucial for the production. If you are not sure... Print a dry and a wet version (put them in different maps... DRY & WET).

Make sure that nothing is clipping nowhere (tracks & busses), and verify that you haven't cut anything off at the beginning and end of your tracks. (first note of an instrument, reverb/delay tails, etc...)

Export all your files so they start at the same point and are of the same length.

Make a folder and name it "Artist/Band Name - Song Title".

Add to the folder:

1. The exported/printed files of your song, (DRY & WET maps)

2. Your reference mix (the mix of your song you have now).

3. At least 1 reference song in the same genre that has the sound you are after. (If you really can't get hold of the file(s) you can list the reference song(s) in the text file).

4. A text file containing: Song bpm and key, any additional important info that you want us to know to help us understand your creative vision, special requests you might have...

If you are going to release your music on digital carriers (CD/USB/etc...), and want META - data embedded in the song file, you should also include the following in the text file:

Producers Name(s)

Cover Art (Not Mandatory)

ISRC (usisrc.org), NOTE: ISRC is Not mandatory.

META DATA & ISRC CODE IS NOT NECESSARY IF YOU WILL ONLY BE RELEASING YOUR MUSIC THROUGH DIGITAL MUSIC DISTRIBUTIN SERVICES LIKE TUNECORE / CDBABY / ETC..!

ZIP/COMPRESS the folder. Name it "Receipt Number(mailed to you on purchase) - Artist/Band Name - Song Title".

Now you're ready to upload the zipped/compressed archive file to [email protected] using a file sharing service of your choice.

Should I leave my mixing plugins active?

Remove all plugins and FX you used to make your reference mix. Leave all plugins and FX that's crucial to the production! If you are not sure... Print a dry and a wet version (put them in different maps... DRY & WET)
